LibGuides have been a standard librarians’ tool to create course and research guides. The newly released version 2 will greatly enhance the functionality, aesthetics and usability of the guides. The transition to LibGuides v.2 will also require new approaches both from the librarians and administrators.

We all benefit enormously from what the State of Illinois offers us in the way of library services: databases, interlibrary loan, collection development grants, digitization projects, and so on. One way of showing our enthusiasm for state support of academic libraries is to come to Springfield for Illinois Library Day, Wednesday, March 1.
