North Park University is seeking a part-time Digital Services Coordinator:
The Digital Services Coordinator would support the work of our Digital Initiatives and Electronic Resources departments, with a particular focus on troubleshooting, assessment, and content management. This position will report to the Head of Digital Initiatives and Online Learning.
Being the go-to person for day-to-day troubleshooting of e-resources and digital platforms
Ongoing data collection and assessment of e-resources and digital platforms
Managing our web content
Project management of software upgrades
Other projects as assigned
Additional responsibilities depending on the qualifications and interests of the individual hired into this position:
Someone with an intermediate level of HTML and CSS skills could take on some web projects, such as creating digital exhibits for the archives or enhancing some features of our website.
Someone with teaching experience/an MLIS/library experience could create online tutorials, lead tech workshops, and work at the reference desk.
A can-do attitude. We need someone who likes to tinker and will figure out how to fix anything that’s broken or doesn’t work as well as it could.
A collaborative disposition. Willingness to work with other departments to understand their digital needs and support their digital projects.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Experience with Drupal or another content management system.
Basic HTML skills.
Good with Excel.
A service mindset. Customer service experience would be helpful, but is not required.
MLIS (or currently working towards one)
Demonstrated intermediate-level knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
Teaching experience and/or knowledge of pedagogy and learning theories
Experience creating and editing digital images, audio, and/or video.
