Join the LIBRAS Technical Services Special Interest Group on Friday, February 28th from 10am-3pm for a day of collaboration and sharing hosted by North Park University.

The Collection Management and Technical Services special interest groups are excited to offer a jointly hosted event called β€œThe Technical Services side of the new Collection Management.” This event will look at the ways technical services and collection management are evolving and changing and how libraries can use these changes to offer new and improved services to library patrons.

Confession: I love libraries and I love iPads. Maybe you share both those loves - and maybe you don't - but if you want to learn more about how libraries can use iPads and hear how other LIBRAS schools are already using them, please join us on the on September 20th for a special LIBRAS event.

Please join us Wednesday, February 29, at North Park University for a LIBRAS Technical Services SIG event. We will share ways that LIBRAS libraries are using technology tools to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and save time! Some of these tools we plan to discuss – MacroExpress, MarcEdit, and Shelflister – have been introduced through CARLI events or email notices.
The Technical Services SIG will hold their Spring meeting at Benedictine University on Friday May 20 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Unfortunately, no one is available to do a presentation on Connexion but perhaps those of you who have been using Connexion could come prepared to discuss your experiences with it. We can also discuss any other cataloging issues of current interest.
