The Chicago Research Summit is a biennial regional conference based at North Park University that brings together faculty, staff, administrators, librarians, and community partners to discuss strategies for enhancing undergraduate student learning through Chicago-based research pedagogy. After the success of our inaugural summit on October 18, 2019, the CRS is seeking nominations to its advisory committee.
The advisory committee will be composed of faculty and librarians from Chicago area institutions of higher education and representatives of Chicago area community organizations that work with college students. Its mission is to help develop content for the summit and to ensure that the Chicago Research Summit attracts a diverse audience. Specifically, advisory committee members will be expected to do the following:
- identify faculty members, librarians and cultural heritage professionals, and community organization members to include in planning for future summits
- assist with recruiting presenters for summits
- assist with summit marketing.
The advisory committee is expected to meet no more than twice a year, with the possibility of additional call-in meetings should they be warranted.

A brief (one paragraph) statement discussing why this person would be a good representative on the committee is encouraged but optional. Self-nominations are encouraged.
