Paul V. Galvin Library at Illinois Institute of Technology is currently recruiting for the Access Services Specialist- Reserves (full-time).
The Access Services Specialist – Reserves will support the library’s mission by overseeing service points in the Access Services department. This will include the evening operations of the library’s Circulation Desk and Group Study Suite (GSS) Desk and administration of the library’s Course Reserves. This position requires practical knowledge in searching bibliographic databases; using Integrated Library System software platforms such as Ex Libris Alma/Primo; and office productivity suites like Microsoft 365. Supervision of library Student Assistants is a major responsibility of this position. As a member of the Access Services Department, the Access Services Specialist provides staffing for the circulation desk, serving a diverse community of faculty, staff, and student patrons of the Paul V. Galvin Library.
The schedule for this position will be evenings Sunday through Thursday during the academic year, and may vary during breaks.
