LIBRAS Virtual LKE: COVID-19 Resource Show & Tell

Posted on March 31, 2020 by admin

COVID-19 has dramatically shifted the resources accessible to libraries. Most print resources are out of reach for most LIBRAS libraries due to the “Stay at Home” order in effect, but many vendors have opened up resources previously held behind paywalls. Curious about how LIBRAS colleagues are embracing (or not) the offers of freely available resources? Wondering how other librarians are organizing information and resources to support their campus?

Set aside time from 2:00-3:00 PM on Friday (4/3) to learn from others! If you want to share what’s happening on your campus, please consider creating a brief PPT (no more than 3 slides) or have relevant web pages pulled up and ready to share. Each institution in attendance will have 5 minutes to share. Afterward, if there’s time available, those who are interested are welcome to engage in open discussion.

To obtain a link and meeting password, RSVP for this event by e-mailing the event co-hosts, LIBRAS President Cathy Mayer (cathy.mayer@trnty.edu) or Communications Director Sarah Kurpiel (skurpiel@ben.edu). Also, please indicate if your institution plans to present/share to facilitate the creation of a loose agenda.

*Note: A separate/additional session related to management and leadership concerns for LIBRAS Directors will be held at 3 PM.
