Paul V. Galvin Library at Illinois Institute of Technology is currently recruiting for the position of Head of Access Services (full-time).
The Head of Access Services is responsible for supervising and leading Access Services operations involving staff, systems and stacks, as well as ensuring effective day-to-day functions and ongoing development of the department in order to provide access to the library’s resources and services in support of the University’s mission to “provide distinctive and relevant education in an environment of scientific, technological, and professional knowledge creation and innovation”. The Head of Access Services will provide oversight, management, and development of Galvin Library’s Group Study Suites, Interlibrary Loan Services, and reserves collections both print and digital. As well as leading the department in setting goals, objectives, and priorities consistent with the Library’s strategic plan, the Head of Access Services will participate in a variety of exciting library initiatives and professional development opportunities in support of Illinois Tech’s growth and innovation.
