What are your main duties at your library?
I oversee interlibrary loan, supervise the reference desk, serve as Alma administrator, and select resources to support our Bible and theology departments.
What do you like best about your job?
I enjoy connecting students with the resources they need and helping them develop good learning habits. In addition, I enjoy being part of a great library staff.
What are you working on now that you’re excited about?
I am working with the dean of online education to develop tutorials and other resources for professors and students. I am excited about connecting our patrons with the guides and resources they need.
Why did you decide to work in libraries?
I started working in a library because I needed a part-time job at the time and was looking for something where I could feel like I was contributing towards the greater good.
What do libraries mean to you?
I think libraries can be a great leveler of the playing field, especially for underserved communities.
What do you think is the most important challenge or opportunity for libraries going forward?
Equipping students with information literacy tools that will help them, not only in their academic pursuits, but also as they evaluate sources and information in work and social contexts.
What are you reading, watching, or listening to right now?

What are your hobbies?
Reading, running, spending time with my family, and serving in our church.

I serve as a chaplain in the Air Force Reserve.
